This Privacy Policy explains how PensNPapers ("we", "us"), based in Karur, Tamil Nadu, collects and handles information in connection with Wasool.
When you contact us or sign up, we collect information you provide directly — such as your name, phone number, business type, and any message you send. Within the Wasool application itself, your business collects and stores its own operational data — contacts, loans, deposits, transactions — which belongs to your business, not to us.
We use the information you provide to respond to enquiries, set up and support your account, and communicate important updates about the service. We do not sell your information or your business's data to third parties.
Your business's operational data is stored on infrastructure used to run Wasool. We take reasonable steps to keep this data secure, but no system can be guaranteed completely free of risk.
Backups. When you connect your Google Drive, Wasool saves a backup of your business data to a "Wasool → Backups" folder in your own Drive every day and keeps the last 7 days there — Wasool can only see the files it creates in that folder, never the rest of your Drive. Separately, we keep full copies of the Wasool database for up to 14 days so we can recover from a technical failure. You can switch daily backups off at any time from Settings → Backup & Restore.
Customer documents. With the Document uploads add-on, photos and ID copies of your customers are stored in your own Google Drive (Wasool → Uploads), not on Wasool's servers. Wasool keeps only a reference to each file and shows it only to people of your company — and to the customer or agent who uploaded it to an application. Files are never shared by public link. Only the last 4 digits of an Aadhaar number are stored, and the upload screen lets you cover the rest of the number on the photo.
Aadhaar QR. When an Aadhaar QR is scanned, it is read in the browser and its UIDAI digital signature is checked; the details are used to fill in the customer's record. Only the last 4 digits of the number are kept, and the photo inside the QR is used only if the person adding it chooses to.
On-screen signatures. When a customer or guarantor signs an application or agreement on screen, the signature image is stored like any other document (in your own Google Drive), together with signing details: the time, who was logged in or which link was used, the device and browser, IP address and time zone, how long the signing screen was open, and — only if the person allows it on their phone — their location. These details are shown only to your team, to show who signed and when.
WhatsApp alerts. With the WhatsApp alerts add-on, the customer's mobile number and the payment details in each message (name, amount, account, balance, company) are sent through Meta's WhatsApp Business platform — from the PensNPapers business number, or from your own number if you connect it. Alerts are sent only to customers your team has switched them on for, and that consent is recorded.
Application and signing links. Links you send to customers or guarantors work without a login for 7 days and show only that one application or agreement — a guarantor's link never shows the customer's KYC documents.
Leaving Wasool. You can download your data in Excel at any time from Settings → Export & Leave, and you can ask for one company or your whole account to be deleted from the same page. The data is locked straight away and permanently deleted after 7 days (you can cancel during those 7 days); our database copies containing it expire within a further 14 days. Backups already in your own Google Drive stay yours. We keep only a minimal record of the request (email, date, what was deleted) for billing and legal purposes.
Our marketing website may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how visitors use the site. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles.
